Global exchange of best practices
The “Warrior Care in the 21st Century Conference” is a professional conference that takes place directly before and in close cooperation with the Invictus Games.
Founded in 2015, the Warrior Care in the 21st Century (WCC) initiative supports the global exchange of experience among experts and practitioners in relation to the care of injured servicemen and women. Health care providers are already in a position to find practicable and innovative solutions to current and future challenges in the areas of resilience, recovery and rehabilitation as well as reintegration.
Up to 250 medical and scientific professionals from the armed forces of all NATO countries and beyond, as well as civilian experts, are expected to attend the WCC.
In the sense of the INVICTUS GAMES DÜSSELDORF 2023, the topics of rehabilitation and dealing with the injured will also be in the foreground at the WCC. In addition, experiences in patient care of Ukrainian servicemen and women, the role of pastoral care and social security as well as the involvement of family members will be given special attention.
“Warrior Care in the 21 st Century” is a significant step towards strengthening cooperation, improving interoperability between services and expanding the provision of medical and adjuvant interventions and therapies for wounded, ill and injured military personnel.
