Team Philosophy

How are competitors selected for your team?

Our goal is to provide opportunities to individuals who have not been able to participate in previous events. While there exceptions, we are proud to be one of the few countries that selects and brings a new team for each Invictus Games. We recognize the tremendous potential for this experience to be life-changing for our members. With tens of thousands of deserving ill/injured members in the Canadian Armed Forces, we understand the importance of providing them with this incredible opportunity.

Does your team have a motto?

Adapt. Overcome. Soldier On.

How often do you have dedicated training camps? What do you do in those and inbetween?

The team took part in two training camps: the first one took place at Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt, Victoria, British Columbia 6–10 Feb 2023 and the second one in Winnipeg, Manitoba 15-19 May 2023. Each athlete has also been linked with their coach and their chosen sports teams through private social media channels. In this way, they are able to train as a team and support one another, regardless of location.
